Dortmund Live.Tour

In the organizer's words:

The "Dortmund Live.Tour" aims to promote live music in Dortmund and support local bands and musicians through visibility and performance opportunities.

The Dortmund Live.Tour comprises a total of four concerts in various venues in the city of Dortmund. In each of three preliminary rounds, four solo artists or bands will perform in front of an audience. In each preliminary round, one band or solo artist will be selected for the final concert by a vote consisting of audience votes and a jury assessment.

The preliminary rounds:

With: Dammnation, Roughhouse, Dr. Schlager and the Marilyn Boadu Band, Trio Randale

10.09.24 at 19:30 at the FZW
With: Beards with girls, Das große Los, The Exports, Lean

25.09.24 at 19:30 in the Junkyard
With: Sam Todejo, My Demon's Best Friend, Why The Face ???, Coven Call

Free admission.

Jury and evaluation:
An expert jury consisting of representatives from the Cultural Office, the Advisory Board for Popular Music/Pop Culture, the independent promoter scene and music journalism will select the participants for the preliminary rounds and decide who qualifies for the final round. In addition to musical quality and live performance, criteria such as promoting young talent, diversity and inclusion will also be taken into account. An audience vote will also be part of the decision on who gets to perform in the final round.

The finalists can win one of the following prizes:

A studio production in a Dortmund recording studio worth €2,500

Prize money of 700 €

A performance at the annual Juicy Beats Festival
