Dortmund unplugged

The Schiller Songwriter Stage "Dortmund Unplugged" is a concert series in Long August that focuses on local artists. Every second Thursday, three acts present a 30-minute program with acoustic instruments, their own songs and close proximity to the audience. "Dortmund Unplugged" promotes the diversity and creativity of Dortmund's singer/songwriter scene. It creates a platform for local talents to present themselves and build a close bond between artists and listeners. The series is hosted by Hans Blücher and a team from Nordmarkt Records and Musiksyndikat Ruhr.

George Major, Janina Beinert and Finn&Jonas will be performing on 13.06.2024.

Finn &Jonas make German-language indie pop and combine self-ironic and socially critical themes with playful confidence. The Dortmund twins take a clear stance against racism and the political backlash.

In her songs, Janina Beinert deals with the big and small things in life. From the everyday to turning points, she invites you to sing along, have fun, reflect and change your own perspective. In addition to writing her own songs, she works as a music mediator to break down barriers and give people access to music.

After more than thirty years of working for other songwriters, George Major from Dortmund has finally taken heart and put his own ideas down on paper. The result is songs to think about, dream about and smile about, which he presents with his pleasant voice (he is a singing teacher!).
