DJ Haitian Star
Known to most as TORCH, he is a protagonist of the Heidelberg rap scene (Advanced Chemistry, Blauer Samt). As HAITIAN STAR he released various mixes, including the highly acclaimed series on German 80's Funk and Hip Hop which earned him the title "Mixtape King". These mixtapes represent the most extensive research work on this subject worldwide and are discussed in everything from hip hop magazines to scientific journals.

In 1993, the rapper Torch founded the 360° brand in Heidelberg with the first T-shirt productions, including the legendary "Save the Vinyl" shirt with a design by Gee One aka Kane. The legendary 360° label logo was also created by GeeOne/Kane, with whom Torch painted, rapped and danced in the early 80s when he was still at school.
The name 360° comes from the holistic hip hop philosophy that Torch often mentions in his lyrics: "Perfect like a circle 360 degrees" (Chapter 1). You can find out more about this in the monograph "Blue Velvet" (Rotary Head 2021).
Shortly before, he had given up hosting the first hip hop program "Freestyle" on German TV, which he had hosted on VIVA with Storm, Scope & Stylewarz. 1994 also saw the release of the first 360° record on vinyl, a reprint of the song "the escapades" by Futura 2000 & The Clash. Futura designed a new cover for it in NYC. Frederik Hahn, Torch's real name, had already gained his first label experience in 1990-92 when he was involved in the founding of the MZEE label. He came into contact with the pressing plant via the Cologne-based Blitzmob (LSD/Sellout). Records by Advanced Chemistry also appeared on 360° Records, as did all Toni-L releases.
360° was the first hip hop label from Heidelberg and is still the oldest still active rap label in Germany!
