Five poets, five new lights in the poetry firmament, whose first publications are available or who have not yet published a volume, will read on this evening at the Haus für Poesie. Among them are: Janin Wölke, who made her debut at hochroth Berlin in 2014 with was passiert wirklich, wenn wir stolpern? in other writers need to concentrate (SUKULTUR 2023), Rosa Lobejäger, multiple winner of the lyrix national competition for young poetry and participant in the open poems workshops at Haus für Poesie, publications in apostrophe and Jahrbuch der Lyrik, Jordan Lee Schnee, musician, translator (of Debora Vogel and Washington Cucurto) and poet, chapbooks in English and Yiddish published by Propeller and ¿Qué Sello? Press, Tamara Štajner, winner of this year's Bachmann Prize and the Merano Poetry Prize, whose poetry collection Schlupflöcher and the novel Raupenfell are available (published by Das Wunderhorn in 2022 and 2023 respectively), and Sebastian Schmidt, whose poetry debut so stelle ich mir den gesang von erst kürzlich mutierten finken vor was published by parasitenpresse in 2022, followed by the short story Alle Instrumente (VHV Verlag 2022), which also won this year's Merano Poetry Prize.
