The musical duo Aziza Nabhan and Bakr Khleifi will take the audience on an enchanting journey through Egypt's musical landscape. At this special concert, the journey begins in the twenties of the last century and leads through stations from every decade. True treasures are presented. Some that are quite well known and some that will be a real surprise to some. Some songs come from films that have fallen into oblivion.

Aziza, the mezzo-soprano from the world of opera, skillfully slips into the oriental garb of diverse Egyptian music and captivates music lovers with the warm timbre of her crystal-clear voice and her warm, natural manner! And Bakr, the gifted oud player, not only accompanies Aziza with sensitivity and virtuosity; his solo interludes are a musical delight! The Ulme35 is looking forward to this unique concert!

Aziza and Bakr met by chance on 20.01.2024. Both are guests of the Sudanese community/embassy in Berlin, the audience asks the singer and the oud player for a musical interlude. Bakr borrows the available oud and Aziza is handed a microphone. After a brief consultation, the two decide on a song. The audience is thrilled! It's not just one song! At the end of the spontaneous performance, it turns out that Aziza had forgotten to switch off her microphone; she thought it was already on! An unforgettable evening that heralds the birth of a wonderfully fruitful collaboration. The duo celebrates its first anniversary with the upcoming concert on 17.01.25.
