This exciting five-piece formation has fun transforming typical standards as well as songs from pop and rock into jazz. The palette ranges from Bob Dylan and Sting to Pink Floyd and Pat Metheny. The line-up of vocals, saxophone/guitar, piano, bass and drums constantly creates new timbres.
Christiane Palm's dark vocal timbre complements the quartet perfectly. The singer moves confidently between the different musical styles and surprises with Brazilian vocals on the bossa nova pieces.
An evening with the Emile Jazzband promises to be a surprise bag of ever-amazing interpretations of well-known jazz, pop and rock standards.
