Children's poetry films bring together the best of the Grande Nation: classical poetry, French film art and the love of all generations for comics (bande dessinée), which enjoy a high reputation and are regarded as the "ninth art". The films are based on poems by Paul Verlaine, Esther Granek, Alfred de Musset, Andreé Chedid, Marianne Van Hirtum, Jean de La Fontaine and Jacques Prévert. The program is adapted to the curricula in Berlin and is moderated by teachers. The event languages are German and French. The foreign-language texts are available in translation and can be sent to the participating classes in advance by the Haus für Poesie.
