Fabienne Hollwege (Luxemburg): Dazwischen Frei

In the organizer's words:

"Dazwischen FREI" tells the story of the balancing act between role models, demands, expectations, longings and the highs and lows of everyday life as a "woman", mother and artist in a musically performative way.

How can we free ourselves from a web of expectations and clichéd role models? How can we (over)live, how do we want to love and what do oranges have to do with pregnancy, birth and can tender poetry exist alongside heavy club music?

Fabienne will be accompanied by the musicians Pol Belardi and Sven Sauber.

Fabienne Elaine Hollwege

Fabienne Hollwege is an actress & artist. After studying acting in Hamburg, she worked as a permanent ensemble member at the Theaterhaus Stuttgart, then freelanced at various theaters in Germany and abroad, as well as in the film industry. With her chanson evening "Liebe im Getriebe" and later as a member of the cabaret band KatSong, she toured with "Frauen an der Steuer" and "La Pharmiglia -organiertes Gebrechen". She works as a workshop leader in the cultural education sector and is a lecturer in acting and speech training at the Conservatoire Esch-sur-Alzette.

Following the publication of the book for young people "Lucy Love" (2019, Kremart Verlag), further publications of poems and texts (e.g. Cahiers Luxembourgeois). Her interdisciplinary music book "To LIVE is to live & LOVE is to love" was published in September 2022 by Éditions Guy Binsfeld. Her writing residencies at the Kulturfabrik Esch sur Alzette continue to lead her to her own interdisciplinary projects (text, voice, movement, video). She is a member of the artist collective Maskénada and lives with her family in Luxembourg.

Sven Sauber

The versatile guitarist, lecturer, composer, producer and arranger Sven Sauber was born in Luxembourg in 1986. Growing up in a music-loving environment, Sven took guitar lessons and then joined the jazz department of the luxb. Conservatory. During this time, he formed his first band and composed his own material. In 2008 he was involved in the EP 'In Search Of Happiness' by the pop group Carradine and won a full scholarship from the Bertram Pohl Foundation for private lessons with Chester Thompson (Frank Zappa, Genesis), Luis Conte (Santana, Pat Metheny) and Angie Cassaux-Berthias (Supertramp, Bobby McFerrin) amongst others. After moving to London in 2009, Sven studied the BMus (hons) in Popular Music Performance at the Tech Music School. Sven moved back to Luxembourg in 2015 and quickly made a name for himself as a

reliable and versatile sideman. His first solo album entitled 'Another Day' was released in September 2022 and Sven is currently in the pre-production phase of his second solo album. He teaches electric and acoustic guitar at the

Péitenger Musekschoul.

Pol Belardi
