This is the motto of an exciting and insightful film evening in the cinema of the Zeiss-Großplanetarium/ Volkssternwarte München, organized by the Fantasy Filmfest and the Stiftung Planetarium Berlin. The two-time Oscar-nominated cult classic "The Andromeda Strain" (1971) by Robert Wise will be shown. Following the screening, we will discuss with scientists whether the content of the film is more "science" or "fiction".

A deadly dust of extraterrestrial origin has arrived on Earth and begins to mutate. In a secret underground laboratory, the US government feverishly searches for the causes of the mass deaths in a small town in Nevada. This first film adaptation of Michael Chrichton's bestseller was also a technical milestone of its time and is simply great cinema.
