Children - why do they have to grow up so quickly and go through puberty at the same time? Journalist Hannes Wenger is faced with the most difficult task of his life: keeping his daughter Carla in check, because shortly before her 14th birthday she turns into a rebellious pubescent. From then on, Hannes has his hands full trying to protect her from alcohol, boys and other temptations, which becomes increasingly overwhelming. He can't expect any help from his wife Sara, who has gone back to work and Hannes is soon putting his foot in every mouth there is. Fortunately, he is not alone in his suffering. His best friend Holger is a war reporter and would rather be shot at than put up with his pubescent child...
