The Pink Breath Show is a multidisciplinary performance of the debut album PINK BREATH by Daughter Of A Drum, the creative alter ego of Aoife Nic An Tiompanaigh. PINK BREATH was released in August 2024 and was described by the Irish Times as a "complex, nuanced and personal debut album". ACROSS Festival brings the music from the album to Berlin for the first time in the form of a duet by Aoife Nic An Tiompanaigh with multi-instrumentalist Brian Dillon. The show explores the potential of each track within a structured, collaborative experience of conversation, song and dance. PINK BREATH was recorded in Ireland during the critical years of the social movements around Marriage Equality and Repeal the 8th. These parallel events coincided with the writing of the album, coincidentally creating an archive of this transformative time in Irish public life, yet rooted in a personal point of view. Daughter Of A Drum presents itself as an original encyclopedia of freedom and archiving our times through digital and live artworks and is supported by the Arts Council Of Ireland, Kildare County Council and DLR Arts and Vamp and Fade PR. To date PINK BREATH has achieved thousands of streams and is played on local and international radio stations such as RTE 1 and BBC Sounds.
