Festival der Riesendrachen

In the organizer's words:

When gigantic kites conquer the sky, a colorful stage show delights the whole family and there is plenty else to experience, then it's time again: The GIANT KITE FESTIVAL invites you to Tempelhofer Feld.

Around 80 professional kite pilots from Germany and abroad will fly their self-made GIANT KITES. Guests of all ages can bring their own kites and fly them.

Although the giant kites are the undisputed highlight of the festival, the family festival on Tempelhofer Feld has even more to offer. Popular program items include the various stunt kite demonstrations. Younger visitors are entertained with kite making, candy throwing, bouncy castles and face painting. Sports and cultural clubs from the districts of Neukölln and Tempelhof-Schöneberg are also expected to provide an insight into their club work with their performances.

In addition, there will once again be a colorful supporting program with lots of music and entertainment. The children's circus Cabuwazi, the ballet and dance school Balancé and the cover band "Diese Typen" will be performing on the stage and presentation areas. Sufficient food and drinks will also be provided.
