The film magazine Revü, which has been published in Munich for four years now, collects thoughts on a wide variety of films in highly subjective, enjoyable essays. The magazine is bringing two documentaries to Arsenal. First, the short film by Iranian poet Forough Farrokhzad KHANEH SIAH AST (The House is Black, Iran 1962) will be shown and the Revü essay published to accompany it will be read. The second film, O MOVIMENTO DAS COISAS (The Movement of Things, Portugal 1985) is a visual poem by Manuela Serra. Both works are the first and only films by these two - long forgotten - filmmakers, many more of whom we would have liked to have seen.
