Which possibilities and strategies of action for self-assertion do people from the administrative district of Düsseldorf who were persecuted as Jewish use in the face of Nazi persecution policies? Which spaces of experience and perspectives on the topic of persecution-related migration and flight do we encounter when dealing with historical source materials? In the lecture, Eva Krane provides insights into our current educational and research work on the topic of (forced) migration and flight by means of individual biographies of persecutees who left their homeland between 1933 and 1941 with different destinations and by different routes (Photo: Migration and flight stories in the educational work of the Place of Remembrance).

Eva Krane is a research assistant at the Alter Schlachthof Place of Remembrance and responsible for the project "(Forced) Migration and Flight. History(s) from then & now".
