The documentary "The Taming of the Trees" - a film about the rivalry between humans and nature - by award-winning Georgian director Salomé Jashi was shown in the winter program of the "Baumschule Kulturforum" at the beginning of the year and left many questions unanswered among the enthusiastic and shocked visitors.

Chris Wright, editor of the film, will talk to documentary film director and author Grit Lemke about the making of the film and answer questions from the audience on this evening at the "Baumschule Kulturforum" (8-9 pm, free to attend). The film discussion will be framed by music from the KenntihrdasTrio, whose works are based on the traditional music of their home countries Georgia, Ukraine and Germany - Leliko Gokieli (flute & vocals), Johanna Bastian (violin & vocals) and Emilia Lomakova (cello & vocals).

Afterwards, "The Taming of the Trees " returns to the big screen at the ARTE Sommerkino Kulturforum (9.45pm-2.45pm, with admission, tickets available at the Box Office or via the website www.yorck.de).
