Frisch gepresst: Marie T. Martin und „Der Winter dauerte 24 Jahre“

Marie T. Martin, born in Freiburg in 1982, lived in Cologne after studying at the German Literature Institute in Leipzig; her poetry, prose and radio plays have been awarded the NRW Prize and the Rolf-Dieter Brinkmann Scholarship, among others. She died in 2021 at the age of 39.

This artfully designed book brings together the author's main works and her estate. In addition to stories, it includes the rightly highly acclaimed volumes of poetry Wisperzimmer and Rückruf as well as the collection of short prose she left behind. She also proved herself a master in this genre.

Hanna Lemke, who edited the volume together with Andreas Heidtmann, will present it on this evening. Jan Valk will explain why the Kunststiftung NRW supported the book.
