Fritz Kalkbrenner

Fritz Kalkbrenner was born in 1981 in East Berlin, spent his teenage years there and, following in the footsteps of his brother Paul, discovered the Berlin techno scene. In the course of the soundtrack production for a then small Berlin underground film, "Sky & Sand" became part of "Berlin Calling" in 2008 with vocal contribution by Fritz and achieved worldwide cult status.

Based on this experience Fritz Kalkbrenner started to produce his own music and joined forces with the Berlin label SUOL in 2010. After a few 12 inchs, "Here Today Gone Tomorrow" was released there at the end of 2010 and showed an appealing draft of electronic club music in a soul context on album length. The media response and audience enthusiasm for the debut was overwhelming. Titles like "Facing the Sun" or "Kings in Exile" were gouged as highlights. The musical formula consisting of his distinctive voice and the analog, mostly "warm" sounding house beats.

After ending the collaboration with SUOL and a subsequent sabbatical, he started his own label "Nasua Music" at the end of 2018 and immediately began producing new fresh music with a new creative team. Besides numerous successful projects in the following years, his last studio album called "True Colours" was released in 2020 followed by a completely sold out tour in 2021 - including a sold out show at the Berlin Velodrom.

For the new single "Waiting for the Sun", which is to be released on 28.07.23, numerous festival shows are already confirmed for this year and a tour with shows in Germany, Austria and Switzerland is planned.
