In June, medieval archaeologist Tanja Potthoff from the MiQua team explains why archaeologists are so interested in latrine shafts. In addition to faeces, a wide variety of everyday objects and food remains were also found in the pits. The finds can tell us a lot about life in the medieval Jewish quarter. On June 6, 13, 20 and 27, interested visitors will have the opportunity to search for finds from the medieval Jewish quarter in a special kind of "treasure chest".
