The reading event juxtaposes diary entries by Anne Frank and Josef Goebbels.

Anne Frank hides from the Nazis during the occupation of the Netherlands. After 2 years she is discovered and dies in the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp.

Josef Goebbels brought the art of political propaganda to spooky perfection: Joseph Goebbels, a slight man with a clubfoot, established the "Führer" Adolf Hitler as a brand and paved the way to power for the National Socialists.

The notes are framed by the writings of Viktor E. Frankl. As a Jewish witness to the Nazi dictatorship, he survived physically and mentally for around 3 years in 4 different concentration camps, written down in "Der Mensch vor der Frage nach dem Sinn".
