In his film, Leiser combines rare historical footage of the pogrom with accounts from contemporary witnesses and creates a haunting documentary that not only describes this early escalation of anti-Semitic violence, but also emphasizes the significance of the pogrom night as a turning point in the persecution of the Jews.
