"Some may say that I couldn't sing, but no one can say that I didn't sing."
Florence Foster Jenkins
Welcome to a cover concert evening with a spontaneous audience choir! Caroline Creutzburg initiates stage projects and related interdisciplinary formats. Together with the artist, activist and ex-Heartrock singer Tanja Krone and Frankfurt Yodlklub member Johanna Milz, she dedicates herself to her personal musical role models in "Gitte, Bonnie & Maustetytöt". The three are accompanied by Jacob Bussmann (piano/keyboard), Lee Seongsin (guitar, bass) and Špela Mastnak (drums).
We are admirers who turn into musicians; performers who trace their musical coming-of-age. Our favorite songs open up spectrums of biography, gender and fandom. The ensemble led by Caroline Creutzburg has selected the songs for the evening based on their personal significance. They are used to negotiate the connection between their own biographies, pop culture and wider contemporary history. It all begins with the desire to sing and the fascination of singing together. This is followed by an invitation to join in and sing along!
An evening between concert, participatory karaoke happening, sung archive and feminist-collective autobiography.
