Reading "The King of Malta" with Alexander Farrugia (English)
Maltese author Alexander Farrugia reads from his novel "Ir-Re Borg" (The King of Malta), which has been nominated for the European Literature Prize 2024. In this satirical tale, grocer Mikiel Borg is transformed into a populist insurgent whose rise and fall reflect the weaknesses of Maltese politics.
