As a practitioner and mayor for many years, Peter Kurz has experienced what makes good politics difficult or even impossible. Because it is the cities and municipalities where the laws from Berlin collide with reality and encounter difficulties in their implementation. This is where experience can be gained as to what works and what doesn't, which political ideas are really profitable and which are not. All the big issues such as climate change, education, migration, housing, mobility, health and the preservation of democracy ultimately play out at municipal level because this is where they are implemented in practice.
