The Economy for the Common Good considers the values of - human dignity, - solidarity and justice, - ecological sustainability and - transparency and co-decision... ...across the various contact groups of a company. As a result, this also calls for New Work, i.e. a new understanding of work and cooperation. Companies that are moving in this direction are finding that the framework conditions in the state and society are not sufficiently in place. Gunnar Barghorn is an entrepreneur, author and sought-after speaker. His metal construction company, which employs 100 people, is run for the common good and, as a human enterprise, is a role model for New Work for many. In his lecture "A new country", he shares his experiences and makes very specific proposals for necessary changes to our understanding of work, in schools and in social security through to our tax system. After all, we need a society that is no longer dependent on quantitative growth with ever-increasing consumption of resources. Gunnar Barghorn has clear ideas on this and points the way to more qualitative growth and a society that has an answer to the expected changes of the next 50 years.
