"Hanging on a Thread" - How former German Pop students master this fine line
Exhibition showcases resilience and creativity in graphic design and photography
Cologne - The upcoming graduate exhibition "Hanging on a Thread, Mastering The Fine Line" honors the remarkable journey of graphic design and photography students who overcame tremendous challenges to complete their bachelor's degrees. Following the sudden insolvency of Deutsche Pop in November 2023, these students were taken under the wing of the University of West London (UWL), which secured their path to graduation. The exhibition will take place on Saturday, September 14, 2024, from 14:00 to 22:00 at Krause Kunst Raum, Werkstatt/Ausstellungsraum im Südbahnhof, Otto-Fischer-Str. 2, 50674 Cologne.
The exhibition reflects the challenging journey of these graduates who faced uncertainty and adversity with only one chance of success. Despite the sudden closure of their original institution, these graduates have shown remarkable resilience and transformed their uncertainty into powerful works of art. The exhibition features a diverse selection of graphic design and photographic works that capture the essence of perseverance and creative mastery.
Come to the grand opening to experience this extraordinary exhibition of resilience and artistic talent. The event is free and open to the public and offers the opportunity to engage with the inspiring stories behind each student's work.
