Bismarckplatz

As the entrance to the Old Town, Bismarckplatz with its pre-Christmas flair sets the mood for an unforgettable visit to the Christmas market.

University Square

The largest square of the Christmas market is located in the middle of the Old and New University. With its many decorated stalls, you will find everything your heart desires. The over 100-year-old historic jumping horse carousel makes children's eyes light up and is an attraction for young and old.

Corn market

With over 100 sparkling fir trees, white pointed tents and a lovingly decorated nativity scene, the Heidelberg Winter Forest is a very special experience. A wide variety of culinary delights, handmade arts and crafts and the children's railroad invite you to linger a while

Anatomy garden

In front of the monument to the chemist Robert Bunsen, festively decorated huts invite you to visit.

Karlsplatz

The atmospheric ice landscape guarantees skating fun on real ice in a unique atmosphere. With a fantastic view of Heidelberg Castle, you can enjoy many Christmas delicacies on the square.

Market square

The wooden Christmas town around the Herkulesbrunnen fountain presents a unique attraction: a large wooden barrel with a rotating Perkeo, Heidelberg's symbolic figure, on the roof.

Experience Santa Claus live in Heidelberg!
For a minimum donation of €5.00, visitors of all ages can visit Santa Claus and take a photo or video with their smartphone.
The Lions Club Heidelberg-Altstadt uses the donations to support children's projects in Heidelberg.
