Here - this is Brussels, a city with many construction sites. But where is home? Construction worker Stefan (Stefan Gota), a migrant worker from Romania, is about to leave for a vacation home with his mother. To empty his fridge, he cooks a large pot of soup, which he delivers in portions to his friends: a night porter at the hotel, Romanian mechanics and his sister, who works in a hospital. As his car is in the garage, he walks long distances in the outskirts of the city, passing glass facades, cranes, train tracks and forests. Twice he accidentally meets Shuxiu (Liyo Gong), a moss researcher who teaches at the university and helps out in her aunt's Chinese restaurant. He is fascinated by her interest in something almost invisible. In the radiant light of summer and with many shades of darkness, the film uses beautiful 4:3 tableaux to depict nature and urbanity, greenery and concrete, microscopically enlarged cells, faces and the city. It is worth taking a look at what often goes unnoticed.
