Hi! Spencer

Hi Spencer, suddenly as light as a cloud? The cover and title of the new album suggest so. But don't worry! "We still make terribly melancholy songs," says the band, who traditionally can't be pigeonholed, but are somewhere between indie, pop, rock and punk. And yet there is a twist in "oben" that is new for the Osnabrück band. In terms of content, the songs don't stop where they start, they don't drill deeper and deeper into the emotions - instead, they show solutions and perspectives. And so "oben" follows on seamlessly from the last album "memori", because as they said so beautifully there: "But you can do that if you start to change your perspective." Taking a different view, accepting a situation as it is - that is a key theme in the new Hi! Spencer songs.
