Why do the Egyptian gods so often have animal heads? Who was Horus? Why can a Horus eye fly and why does a dung beetle bring good luck? Together with archaeologist Maren Torhoff, the children find out how the Egyptians lived, how they imagined life after death and whether real mummies only exist in Egypt. In an exciting workshop, they immerse themselves in the world of the Egyptians, explore the Egyptian treasures in the Übersee-Museum Bremen and learn the basics of Middle Egyptian hieroglyphic writing. Parents can also take part in the workshop.
