INDIE-NACHT w/ BLUE INTENDED, DAWARWAS, JUNE CALLS und TEACHERS ON THE ROCKS

In the organizer's words:

Indie-Go enters its second round! The premiere of Indie-Go in Freising in March was a complete success and impressively proved that a festival can also be organized independently.

With the Indie Night, the idea behind it is to be taken further and implemented again: In a different location, with a new line-up and a similar team in the background.

We want to offer the young indie scene a stage and, above all, encourage young people to support up-and-coming artists.

ACTS:

blue intended

blue intended are Kolja, Lily Mae and Pia, an indie rock band from Regensburg. The music project was founded in Freising in 2023 and was expanded by two new members in Regensburg in 2024. Inspired by the indie rock scene of the 2000s and the modern post-punk revival, the trio has found an original sound that guarantees energetic and rousing live performances. The English lyrics quickly inspire sing-alongs and are mostly introspective, with the new songs moving more in a socially critical direction.

DaWarWas

The up-and-coming band DaWarWas present predominantly German-language indie pop songs in their setlists, regardless of their popularity. The five young people - Samuel, Christian, Johanna, Cleo and Ilja - not only share a passion for music, but also appreciate each other. Since spring 2023, they have also been enriching their repertoire with their own songs, with their debut single "Pulp Fiction" leaving plenty of room for the audience's own interpretations. Their common desire is to live the dream of music realization and thus to carry their lyrics and music further.

June Calls

The indie band June Calls from the Munich area inspires with their ability to take listeners away from their everyday lives. They started out in 2020 with cover songs on YouTube during the first lockdown and released their first original songs in 2021. Their debut single "High Tides" deals with the monotony of everyday life, while "The Sound" tells of wanderlust. In 2022, they were awarded the Freising Youth Culture Prize and have since performed regularly throughout Germany, including supporting the British band Tide Lines in Cologne and Munich in 2024. In September 2023, they released their EP "Dancing In Your Room At Four", which includes the singles "Nothing Concrete" and "Only A Lifetime". Their music, which combines indie pop with folk influences, inspires with its mixture of energy and depth. With profound lyrics and energetic live performances, June Calls are ready to make a name for themselves nationwide.

Teachers on the Rocks

Teachers on the Rocks - the teachers' band from the far north of Munich. What could be better than filling your time after a long day at school with music you've played yourself? Red pencil work and lesson preparation are put to one side for the time being and attention is turned to the finer things, especially to help shape the school events at GMN! Because it's not just our students who can heat up the audience, we can too!
