In the organizer's words:

SoLaWi Köln is a solidarity-based harvest community that grows fresh, high-quality vegetables in the west of Cologne. Instead of buying each piece of vegetable individually, we jointly finance the vegetable cultivation for an entire financial year and receive the entire harvest in return.

Lower-income shareholders are supported by those with more financial resources, making it easier for an entire community to access high-quality food.

We currently grow more than 40 different vegetable crops for over 250 households in Cologne with the support of our full-time gardeners. The Demeter-quality vegetables are harvested weekly and delivered unpackaged to our 7 distribution points in the Cologne city area.
