Irdorath

From the street to the stage of the Wacken Open Air. From the dungeon in hell to a world of freedom! On the wings of the dragon, forward to the stars!

Irdorath is a project from Belarus that creates its very own musical world: noble and wild, dark and exciting, filled with Slavic legends, echoes of the Middle Ages and folk from different nations. The band has firmly established its status as a headliner at historical, folk and ethno festivals in the CIS. Before 2020, Irdorath actively toured Europe and conquered new territories with their shows. But ...

In August 2021, the band leaders were arrested together with former band members for playing the bagpipes during demonstrations against the violence of the dictatorship in Belarus and sentenced to two years in prison. They were released in April 2023 and fled the country. Despite this terrible story, they decided to continue the project. Half a year after their release, they have rebuilt the band in a new country with new musicians and are already working on new releases. And of course they are ready to return to the stage - reborn and strengthened.
