Zeitgeist Ireland 24 is a great celebration of the richness and diversity of contemporary Irish culture. It brings a new generation of Irish artists to Germany, connecting the shared history and experiences of Irish people and crossing borders.

The upcoming exhibition Ireland's Future Traditions at Galerie Seippel in Cologne will be shown as part of Zeitgeist Ireland 24 . The exhibition features unusual environments and landscapes by two Irish artists, Rod Coyne with his plein air paintings and Shane Sutton with his digital graffiti art.

Rod Coyne plays with the familiarity of Irish landscapes and inverts them, creating unexpected, surreal scenes. Shane Sutton explores the virtual and the real world, combining new technologies with traditional media to create an exhibition that immerses the viewer in new art experiences.

Rod Coyne lives and works in Co. Wicklow, Ireland. In his landscapes, Coyne sees his surroundings in altered states, where the green of the landscape has been transformed/replaced into a palette of reds, while retaining the natural colors of the sky and sea. Coyne's familiar Irish landscapes are fundamentally altered, becoming surreal and taking on an otherworldly aspect.

Shane lives and works in Dublin. In his work, Sutton explores the real world, the virtual world and the space in between. Moving between street, canvas and digital media, he works with images, movement, sound, augmented and virtual reality, building on a body of street art, canvas and art prints. In this way he creates immersive experiences in virtual spaces for the viewer to explore.
