The Dave Weckl-Tom Kennedy project is an all-star fusion experience with three icons of jazz and one of the hottest young keyboardists around. Four stars of world jazz who give improvisational interplay a major role, often pressing dynamics and rhythms, alternating with melodic, light, airy, gentle sounds in which you can sense the tenacity that seeks not the effect but the necessity of a single note. The result of the Dave Weckl-Tom Kennedy project is an energetic jazz fusion group that takes us on a wonderful musical journey through Latin, Afro and modern jazz rhythms. Music that builds and balances from moment to moment. After the grandiose tours of 2021 and 2022 and 2023 with music from the album "Stories", the new album "New Start" by Tom Kennedy, which was also produced and mixed by Dave Weckl, can now be heard. Dave Weckl, one of the drum icons of 3 generations, is now playing for the 3rd time at the Jazztage.
