An astonishing number of finds from Cologne prove how popular knights were in the Jewish quarter: Ceramic and pewter toy figurines or a slate tablet with an excerpt from a knightly epic in Old Yiddish. More than 1,000 fragments of chain mail with a proud total weight of over 50 kg and historical sources show that the Jewish men were also de facto more defensive than is generally assumed.

Those who wish can try on chain mail and helmets themselves and pose for selfies in knightly fashion. The short presentations are repeated several times. Just drop by!
