Sào Soulez Larivière, viola (debut artist of the Nikolaisaal)
Potsdam Chamber Academy
Conductor: Holly Hyun Choe
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart | Symphony in G major KV 45a "Alte Lambacher"
Paul Hindemith | The Swan-Turner
Franz Schubert | Symphony No. 5 in B flat major D 485
The young, up-and-coming conductor Holly Hyun Choe is coming to KAP for the third time. Sào Soulez Larivière has also performed several times in Potsdam, as he is an artist in the Nikolaisaal's debut series. Choe and Larivière have put together a very personal program for "KAPmeets Debut". "[...] serious and cheerful songs, with a dance piece at the end", noted Paul Hindemith about his viola concerto, which hauntingly sets his difficult situation during the National Socialist era to music. Franz Schubert's Fifth Symphony, on the other hand, testifies to youthful light-heartedness wrapped in compositional brilliance. Schubert was particularly enthusiastic about Mozart: "O Mozart, immortal Mozart [...]".
