Bogota-based Venezuelan DJ Leeon is one of the key figures in the Colombian house and techno scene. As co-founder, resident DJ and booker, he helped set up the local Video Club, was part of the Ediciones Danza Negra collective label and has booked none other than Panorama residents Tama Sumo and Lakuti for the first edition of his new queer party series Ritmo Caliente. Leeon not only plays bass-heavy, psychedelic techno, but can also - as he recently proved in his Phonica podcast - drop fabulous deep house sets. House, acid and noisy techno with melancholic undertones are the musical coordinates of Johannes Paluka, who released his debut EP on Mirau in 2008 and has been releasing excellent music on labels such as Smallville, Acid Test and Frank Music ever since - whether alone under his alias Iron Curtis, as part of the duo Achterbahn D'Amour or together with Johannes Albert on their album trilogy Moon.
