Nomada

In the organizer's words:

steptext dance project & TanzRAUM Nord present:
Insights into rehearsals for the dance performance "Nomada", the new production by Of Curious Nature & Helge Letonja

An event as part of the Long Night of Stages 2024.

Nomada is the intangible that has long since folded up its tents. She moves along winding paths as an archaic, striding body and disembodied in the digital world, effortlessly switching between environments.
Nomada emerges between dancing bodies, ancient myths and videographic images, allowing seemingly immovable opposites to collide. In the face of nature under pressure and human confusion through engaging artificial intelligence, it laughs at the approaching changes.
The Ensemble Of Curious Nature seeks physical approaches to the themes of migration and change. In collaboration with filmmaker Isabel Robson and composer Miguel Marin, choreographer Helge Letonja and the dancers track down the ways of life and thinking of nomads whose life plans point to the present day.

Nomada is a production of TanzRAUM Nord gUG with steptext dance project, supported by the Fonds Darstellende Künste with funds from the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media, the Senator for Culture Bremen and the Waldemar Koch Foundation Bremen
