Lesung „Mit Kind und Kagel. Der Fadenschein muss gewahrt bleiben“ mit Deborah Kagel

Deborah Kagel is the daughter of artist Ursula Burghardt and composer Mauricio Kagel.

Growing up and living in the Kagel family was unusual - and not always easy. In her book "Mit Kind und Kagel", Deborah Kagel recounts her memories of family life with her two extraordinary parents, the artist Ursula Burghardt-Kagel
(22.12.1928-04.12.2008) and the composer and director Mauricio Kagel (24.12.1931-18.09.2008), who came to Cologne from Buenos Aires in 1957 and lived there for the rest of their lives. Influenced by the special era of a creative and cultural reawakening after the war and emigration, new music and visual arts, she describes - very privately - the Kagels' life at home in Cologne, travels and engagements, her encounters as a child with many of the most interesting people in the art and cultural scene of the 60s, 70s and 80s, companions, friends and colleagues of her parents, a cosmopolitan, international artist and family life, but also the always difficult and controversial relationship with her father Mauricio Kagel.
