Shortly before Christmas, things get literary once again: the Cologne writing collective [in brackets] brings short stories, essays, poems and much more to the stage. All this with delicious drinks and in a relaxed atmosphere in the beautiful Café Vreiheit in Cologne Mülheim.

About the writing collective:

[in brackets] is a writing collective from Cologne founded in 2022. Prose, poetry, hybrid texts or journalistic formats - we don't exclude anything and are open to all text forms and topics. Once or twice a month, we organize readings in Cologne cafés, which are usually free to attend. Our aim is to make literature more accessible to everyone and to appeal to people of all ages, whether they are long-time literature lovers or complete reading novices. Genre diversity and multi-perspectivity are core values for us, because we firmly believe that literature can bring people together and build bridges. As a writing collective, we want to contribute to this.
