They have known each other for a long time, yet they never run out of things to talk about: Filmmaker Adolf Winkelmann and publisher Werner Boschmann. They have recorded some of their conversations about "an artist's life in the coal patch" in the book 'Die Bilder, der Boschmann und ich', which they are presenting at the transfer. bookshop and taking the opportunity to continue their conversations in front of and with an audience. They offer a fascinating look behind the scenes of filmmaking and tell the story of an artist's life in the Kohlenpott, from their childhood beginnings with the traveling group at the Helmholtz-Gymnasium in Dortmund to the Carpathian Mountains, Moscow and New York.
