Lesung: Im Krieg Gedichte schreiben
In the organizer's words:
The Ukrainian poet Yaryna Chornohus is this year's winner of the Taras Shevchenko Prize. The National Prize of Ukraine is awarded for outstanding works of Ukrainian art and culture.
In her poetry, Yaryna Chornohus deals with personal war experiences and adventures. Her poems are sincere and haunting. Even their melody and phonetics are reminiscent of the daily struggle for life and survival.
The reading will be followed by a discussion with the audience.
The moderator will be Ulrike Almut Sandig, writer and poet.
Language of the event: Ukrainian. There will be a translation into German.
