A Healing Journey Through Sound, Light and Time by Emmanuel Witzthum

The Enjoy Jazz Festival has awarded this year's commission to an artist who always inscribes an intercultural social component into his music. In close connection with the respective location and interlinked with other art forms, Emmanuel Witzthum creates a space in the middle of the city that can be entered at any time in his latest work, which lasts from sunset to sunrise. A space in which "a mood of compassion, charity and hope is kindled and promoted through music". The setting is an invitation to the audience to immerse themselves in something that creates healing harmonies on different levels of consciousness and sensation. "As an artist," says Witzthum, "I think it's crucial to create a space that can open people's hearts and minds to the potential of being less polarized and more open to each other."
