Today, there is little unheard and unimaginable horror. The Islamic State's crimes against Yazidi women in northern Iraq are among them. Some demons must be fought within. In Licht, a co-production between FFT and the Münchener Kammerspiele, director Tea Tupajić invites Yazidi women to descend into themselves and try to do just that. After a year of preparation, the women take the stage and tell the story of what happened as they remember it.
Each night, a part of the story is told. Light continues until the whole story is told. The parts "Light I-IV" were shown in Munich and Brussels. The fifth and sixth parts are told on our stage. Other parts are shown internationally at theaters and festivals run exclusively by women artistic directors.
