Since 2003, the Linke Buchtage Berlin has offered space for books from left-wing and independent publishers whose programs rarely reach the big stages and displays. Non-commercial and self-organized, they are still based on the insight into the indispensability of political analysis and criticism as well as a passion for writing, making, translating, reading and discussing books.
The Book Days are not just a public show, but a place for publishers, authors and visitors to exchange ideas. The focus remains on political non-fiction, but when in doubt, content takes precedence over form. The diverse program, carefully selected year after year, is intended to reflect a cross-section of current socio-political issues, provide food for thought and invite joint debate.
WHERE? All events take place in the Mehringhof in Kreuzberg, Gneisenaustr. 2A, 10969 Berlin, 2nd backyard.
Accessible via the nearby subway station Mehringdamm with the lines U6 / U7 (elevator available).
PROGRAM:
Friday, 14.06.
