Lioba

After disbanding her former indie band in 2019, Lioba fled to Asia, where she had time to take a deep breath and weigh up her life options - and eventually launched a solo career. In 2020, the first EPs "stumble and grow" and "still life", then looking back, the debut full-length based on her journey: "Magnolia" is a powerful testament to Lioba's personal and musical growth; a poignant reminder that even if you've made mistakes, you can find acceptance and pave the way to yourself.

She tells her stories of stumbling and growing, pure and vivid. Musically varied - from tender ballads to light and dancey (indie) pop to groovy dance numbers - the singer/songwriter comes across as both powerful and fragile, yet always warm and approachable. No extravagance. There are also none of the attitudes that go hand in hand with such great voices. Lioba has a special gift for touching people's souls. The singer's radiance casts a spell over everyone. With her charismatic voice, she brings a special depth to the stage, which she loosens up again with her light manner between songs. Whether on the street, in bars or clubs - listeners open up to her stories and find access to their own emotions.

Lioba is currently working on her second album together with band member and producer Mona Reichling.Thefirst single, "The Valley", has already been released and in spring 2025 the artist will be giving more foretaste live on stage - this time as a trio:
