Literaturtage Düsseldorf | Liquid Center präsentiert den Kollektivroman „Wir kommen“

PICK OF THE DAY
You cannot miss this event.
In the organizer's words:

What happens when 18 authors from several generations come together to talk about sexuality and desire? What if they remain anonymous? In a unique experiment, "WIR KOMMEN" combines the voices of authors from different identities and backgrounds to create a collective novel.

We consider ourselves enlightened, open and free, but when it comes to our own lust, women and non-male readers in particular quickly fall silent. The topic seems too shameful, too potentially dangerous. This is especially true for women who are no longer young. The members of the LIQUID CENTER group are countering this speechlessness with the collective novel "WIR KOMMEN". They have invited 15 female authors of different ages to write anonymously and exchange ideas with them about the forms of expression of female desire. The result is a unique collective novel that makes socially repressed facets of female and queer sexuality visible.

As part of the Literaturtage Düsseldorf, the authors Verena Güntner and Lene Albrecht will talk about collective writing (in) the present. They will introduce us to their novel and answer our questions about the processes, functions and potentials of collective writing.
