Volker Surmann is an author, satirist, publisher and East Westphalian living in exile in East Berlin. He has published novels, short stories and anthologies, writes for the "taz" truth magazine and other print media, publishes books with his Satyr Verlag publishing house, reads at the "Brauseboys" reading stage and performs at poetry slams throughout the German-speaking world. He most recently published the story collection Kein Schweiß aufs Buch! Saunageschichten (2022) and the young adult book Leon Hertz und die Sache mit der Traurigkeit (2024).
Nils Straatmann is an author, presenter and slam poet. He writes articles for Süddeutsche Zeitung, FREE MEN's World and 3Sat, among others. His texts have appeared in anthologies published by Carlsen, Suhrkamp and Blaulicht Verlag, and have been broadcast on NDR, BR, ZDFkultur, Radio Fritz, Sat.1 Comedy and ARTE, among others.
