MACKEFISCH - musical all-rounders who are currently bringing a breath of fresh air to German-language musical cabaret. The Mannheim duo of Lucie Mackert and Peter Fischer were part of our "schöner lügen" chanson festival last year. Back then, they shared the evening with another artist and it was clear to us: we want to have them back for a whole evening!
Mackefisch was the 2021 winner of the Baden-Württemberg Kleinkunstpreis, was awarded the Walther von der Vogelweide Prize and won the Funny for Future jury prize at Unterhaus Mainz with the title "Generationengerechtigkeit". No wonder: their lyrics are biting, cheeky, poetic and hilarious, and their music is captivating - the virtuoso on the piano and the multi-instrumentalist on the self-made suitcase drum skillfully vary between impulsive rhythms, catchy melodies and two-part vocals to melt you away.
