Galerie Thomas Schulte is pleased to present a solo exhibition of installation works by Matt Mullican on the occasion of this year's Gallery Weekend Berlin. "New Edinburgh Encyclopedia, 1825" features a series of mounted images and objects made of metal, paper and glass that focus on the artist's long-standing encyclopedic approach and his exploration of systems of knowledge, order and representation. Although the works, which were created in the 1990s, draw on an encyclopaedia that is almost 200 years old, they also show how we try to categorize, record and understand the world in the age of the Internet.
